“Why do you think Ice
Pokemon training comes to you so naturally, along with a resistance to the cold?
Or Steel and Rock and strength to your sisters? Iason, Rayquaza bestowed upon
you the gift of Dragon speech and the ability to help train any dragon, did he
not?” Iason nodded, “The gift of fire and life to Kayla, the ability to train
Pokemon of fire, though I see you’ve varied your team to enable easier battles,
but I’m certain you have noticed that your Pokemon can fight a lot longer than
most peoples,” Kayla nodded.
“Thunder to Brendan,
both as a training aid and as a resistance, I bet you 100 Poke dollars that if
Ash’s Pikachu Thunderbolted Brendan, it wouldn’t hurt him as much as it does
Ash.” Brendan smiled slightly, “Katherine, to you Suicune gave the gift of
water didn’t it? The ability to survive almost two hours underwater, and the
ability to communicate with Water Types,” Katherine nodded, a little stunned
Danielle knew, “Greg, I bet your Charizard has never disobeyed you, and no
flame has ever harmed you,” Greg shook his head.
“Raven, Zapdos would
have gifted you the stormy skies, and the ability to fly in them without fear,
along with the ability to train anything that has wings or a current.” Raven
just smiled, “Rex, Moltres gave you wings did he not? And yet I see you focus
on the other half of his gift, the ability to raise Fire types to their full
potential.”
“Don’t like to fly.”
Rex admitted.
“Darius, to you Latios
gave the gift of dragon power and psychic strength, a dangerous combination,
but in your hands something that can be trusted.”
“How do you know this?”
Iason asked.
“Mew is on the move,
she’s coming here, she’s giving me all the information I need.”
“You haven’t told us
your gifts, or Ash’s.” Greg said quietly.
“I don’t…” Ash started.
“Of course you do Ash,
and that could be why our enemy hunts you the most.”
“But…”
“Ash… You have met many
of the Legendary Pokemon. You have always defended them; helped them,
befriended them. To you was bestowed the gift of friendship, so that Pokemon
would know they can trust you if they look.” Danielle spoke with no doubt in
her voice, Ash opened his mouth, then shut it again.
“And as to mine, the
ability to understand any psychic Pokemon, and empathy to those around me, I am
not telepathic, I cannot read minds, though after that little display I suppose
you might think so, Mew is telling me everything, and warning me that the
balance is going wrong, that someone is interfering with the Chosen of the
Legendary, something I already knew.”
“Then they are coming
here?” Iason asked, “The Legendary Pokemon, are coming here? To Isla De Leyendas?”
“Yes.”
“Then we are in big
trouble.” Darius sighed, “Because if all the legendaries come here, they will
fight.”
“Or worse, whoever
lured us here is planning to try to capture them, which would throw the balance
out worse then whatever he’s doing to the Chosen.”
Iason said with a shudder.
“The world as we know
it could end.”
He had never imagined using Ghost Pokemon could be this
effective.
Six down and thirteen to go.
Three in one fell swoop.
Latias, Articuno and Celebi’s Chosen
Trainers.
Their powers were all his.
He’d nearly had Lugia’s Chosen too.
But that little yellow rat belonging to the Chosen had saved the teen.
Lugia’s Chosen wasn’t going to be an easy capture, but then
he shouldn’t have expected less from someone who has the powers he does. His
Pokemon love him and he makes friends easily, making him someone who is
difficult to capture because of those who help him…
Enough of that, he thought, if I
cannot have Lugia’s Chosen yet, I will capture the others.
He wondered if Gengar could bring him the Mew Girl, or
possibly the Latios boy, with both Latias and Latios’s Chosen’s powers, the
others would almost certainly never be able to take him on with that
combination…
Especially with the powers he had already acquired.
The remaining Chosen
were as good as drained.
