Of
all the things Yugi had possibly expected to cause an argument today, how the
burgers were supposed to be cooked was not one of them.
Joey
and Tristan brawling in the back garden, maybe, Seto and Atem ending up in a
duel, highly likely, but Sirius and Dr. Granger rowing over the best way to
barbeque a bunch of beef burgers?
Nope.
Never crossed his mind.
Yugi
watched as the two complained and argued, wondering if he should take the
spatula from Sirius, if only to prevent the rest of the burgers going that same
way as those in the middle, which looked more like charcoal then food, but Joey
beat him to it, removing the charcoal burgers and flipping the rest over to
finish cooking, making him public enemy number one to the two men in question.
Yugi
inched his way over to Harry, "Do you have a backup plan?" He asked,
nodding at the two 'adults'.
Harry
shrugged, "There may or may not be potato salad, mini pizza's, and sausage
rolls inside the kitchen."
“I’d
wait until they’re done before suggesting other food sources.” Hermione, who
had overheard the conversation, added, “Dad believes that it’s not a real
barbeque unless something gets burnt.”
“Well
the burgers are done then.” Yugi sighed.
“See,
Yugi agrees with me.” Dr. Granger grinned.
“Oops.”
Yugi had time to mutter before Dr.Granger put an arm around his shoulder and
Sirius glowered at him. “Guys, a little
help here?” He sent down the link.
Harry
was too busy being amused to help.
Atem
looked over with a small frown, ‘What did
you do?’ He questioned.
“Stuck my foot in my mouth.”
“Daddy...
I’m really hungry, can we eat now?” Hermione said, in her best little princess
tone.
Dr.
Granger gave his daughter an apologetic look, “Of course sweetie,” He released
Yugi and moved back over to the barbeque. “Food’s done, come and get it.”
“Thanks.”
Yugi whispered as he passed on his way to get a plate. “I owe you.”
“I’ll
put it on your tab.” Hermione murmured back, then collected the first burger
from the huge grill.
